According to ESPN, USA’s 2-1 victory of Ghana yesterday set numerous records for the station, including being the highest-rated men’s soccer match ever and the largest audience for WatchESPN, the station’s online streaming service to watch games. Of all the markets who tuned in to watch the game, D.C. was the highest, with an 11.8 rating. Coming in behind D.C. was New York at 10.2, Hartford-New Haven at 10.1, and Boston at 10.0.
