SALES have doubled at a fitness company after a Derbyshire pole dancer appeared on Britain’s Got Talent.

Mum-of-one Emma Haslam, of Smalley, was seen by millions of viewers on the hit ITV show.

Now, Aurelian Sports, in Manchester, said 15-stone Emma is behind the increase.

Tracey Batenburg, chief executive officer of Aurelian Sports, said: “Emma’s dancing proves size is irrelevant when you’re working out on the pole.

“It’s all about building up your core strength as you need to lift and support your body by your legs.

“This demanding gymnastic workout is for women of all shapes and sizes and is a brilliant way to stay fit.

“Pole athletes have some of the strongest bodies in the world. They develop lean muscles through performing sets of resistance exercises whilst practising a routine.

The 27-year-old made it through two stages of the competition after winning over judges.

Emma made sure she told the panel that she was keen to let women of all sizes know that pole dancing is for anyone.

Emma, who runs her business, Emma’s Pole Dancing, at Mansfield Road, Derby, was contacted by the show’s producers to go down to the Apollo Theatre in London in February.
