MEADOWSWEET

Polo Dobkin, the chef who earned a Michelin star for Dressler, the pioneering restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, that closed last year, is back in the same space with this new restaurant, now as an owner. “It feels really great to be back, like carrying the torch,” said Mr. Dobkin, who left Dressler two years ago. The menu is inspired by the Mediterranean: crisp baby artichokes, cavatelli with fava beans and rabbit, grilled octopus with Kalamata tapenade, Chatham cod pil pil, seafood a la plancha with aioli, and roast chicken with dumplings, roasted tomatoes and escarole. Mr. Dobkin’s wife, Stephanie Lempert, is his partner. (Opens Wednesday): 149 Broadway (Bedford Avenue), Williamsburg, Brooklyn; 718-384-0673; meadowsweetnyc.com.

Opening

EXKI This is the first American outpost of a Belgian chain of restaurants across Europe serving fast and casual food that is also fresh and local. By day, you’ll find sandwiches, soups, salads, savory tarts and blended fruit-and-vegetable drinks. In the evenings, there’s waiter service and a more refined menu. (Tuesday): 257 Park Avenue South (21st Street), 929-236-3954, exkinyc.com.

MILLE-FEUILLE Olivier and Nathalie Dessyn have opened a branch of their three-year-old French patisserie, serving up their mille-feuille pastries, macarons, fruit tarts, croissants and other Gallic temptations: 2175 Broadway (77th Street), 212-362-6261, millefeuille-nyc.com.

Moving

ROUGE TOMATE This elegant and sprawling restaurant, which emphasizes healthy and sustainable ingredients, will close in August to relocate downtown by the end of the year, a move forced by economics. Much of the menu will be the same; wines and cocktails will expand: 10 East 60th Street, 646-237-8977, rougetomatenyc.com.

Looking Ahead

NORTHERN TIGER The final spot at the Hudson Eats food hall, the 14th over all, has been assigned to Erika Chou and Doron Wong, who will open in the fall with a locavore take on northern Chinese fare, notably dumplings and noodles: Brookfield Place, West Street (Vesey Street).
