FANCY a game of rounders and an opportunity to raise money for a fantastic cause?
Then Darwen Football Club will be the place to be on July 5 when Blackburn Community Sports Club stages a Rounder’s Rally at the Anchor Ground next month.
Spokeswoman Sarah Harwood: “Don’t worry if you have never played for a while or haven’t tried rounders, there will be a free practice before the event and it will just be a fun, family day for everybody to enjoy.
“Anyone who has a team of nine or more players and a catchy name can enter, but you must register before the event and mixed teams are welcome.”
Cost is £4 per player and £10 deposit per team.
Spectators can support and watch for free.
Matches start at 10am and doors open at 9.15am (Captains meet at 9.30am). A bar and refreshments will be available all day.
