Signs you are dating a clingy guy

So, you’ve just started dating someone new and everything is going great. You spend a lot of time hanging out together and when you aren’t, you’re always texting or on call with him anyway. Everything is butterflies and sunshine in the beginning until it becomes too much. You want your space but your partner seems to think the two of you should be joined at the hip. Here are some warning signs to watch out for.

All his plans always involve you and he doesn’t seem to ever make plans with his buddies.

And he isn’t ever happy when you tell him about your plans for a girls’ night out or spending some time with your family.

In fact, he might even guilt trip you into canceling them, or worse, he always tags along with you.

When it comes to hobbies or interests, you notice that he no longer has any that he enjoyed before. His new hobbies seem to be everything you’re into.

He’s always doubting your love for him, which makes it exhausting for you to constantly keep reassuring him of your love.

Things always seem great when you’re physically together. But the second you part ways, his insecurity creeps back up again.

All his gestures of love are grand. Of course, no one hates the occasional OTTdisplay of love but not stepping back at all can seem like your partner is a bit on the clingy, needy side.

He’s always fishing for compliments from you. Clingy people have a need to be validated so this is a pretty big sign of neediness.

It’s been just a few dates but he’s already decided which school your kids will go to.

Your phone is often blowing up with notifications from him—texts, snaps, likes, pokes, the list goes on.
