Beauty Inside & Out: Dominican Beauty Zoé Saldaña is the Fresh Face of L’Oréal Paris, the Actress’ Charitable Efforts
La actriz Dominicana Zoé Saldaña is the new face of L’Oréal Paris, which is the manufacturer of cosmetics, skincare, haircolor and haircare for women of all ages and ethnicities. The flawless screen professional will be joining the likes of spokeswomen Jennifer Lopez, Julianne Moore, Eva Longoria, Blake Lively, and Beyoncé.
The internationally-known beauty empire announced the union late last month, on March 28, welcoming Saldaña into the fold on their Facebook page, while simultaneously landing a quick product endorsement.
“We couldn’t be happier to welcome the ravishing Zoe Saldana to the L’Oréal Paris family. Her favorite product? Colour Riche Extraordinaire,” L’Oréal Paris‘ Facebook stated.
Saldaña also publicly shared her excitement over the new partnership, according to Harper’s Bazaar: “As a L’Oréal Paris Spokesperson, being able to say ‘We’re worth it’ means so much to me. I want to share that value with women so they can embrace it and execute life with confidence. I am thrilled to join this beauty journey with such an inspirational brand.”
The Afro-Latina beauty, who is soon to appear in NBC’s upcoming mini-series Rosemary’s Baby as Rosemary Woodhouse and the upcoming Marvel Studios-produced superhero film Guardians of the Galaxy as Gamora, will star in a campaign video where she will revisit her past by looking at photos of herself, and realizing how important L’ Orèal’s ethics have been and still are in her life and the lives of other young women. Saldana’s campaign will include print and television ads, exploring natural beauty and confidence in one’s own beauty.
“Zoe astonishes with her audacious style and feline beauty,” says Cyril Chapuy, L’Oréal Paris’ brand global president. “Attached to her values, unafraid to speak her mind, and confident in her own skin, she embodies infallible force and asserted femininity.”
Saldaña also proves that her beauty is more than skin deep with her multiple charitable contributions and support of causes such as civil rights, children, gay/lesbian rights, education, and health. She’s also leant some of her stardom to organizations such as EB Medical Research Foundation, H.E.L.P. Malawi, Los Angeles Mission and the Trevor Project. And, she’s thrown her support behind Chime For Change, Lend a Hand, and FINCA’s Hand Up for Haiti.
