Police arrest woman for drunk-driving with kids in the car

 

 

A woman was arrested in Cole Harbour, N.S., on Sunday for driving while five times above the legal alcohol limit, she also had two children in the car.

 

Police say they noticed a car stopped in the middle of the road around noon. The driver, a 36-year-old woman showed signs of impairment and was arrested.

 

A breath sample showed the woman was five times the legal limit, police say.

 

Also in the car were an eight-month-old baby and an 13-year-old child, police said, adding arrangements have been made for the kids’ care.

 

The driver was held in custody for a court appearance Monday morning.
