Is This The Easiest New Year’s Resolution You’ll Find?

Many of us may have already broken our New Year’s resolutions, although that doesn’t mean we have to give up just yet. Keeping our resolutions simple can be the best way to feel good, as well as giving our wellness a boost.

Think small

New Year can be a time when we make big plans for our lifestyle, maybe we aim to get to the gym more, or start diets to lose those extra pounds and eat only those foods that have a positive impact on our wellbeing. All of these can enhance our wellness, but when we try and squeeze so much into the New Year, we could fail. Thinking about how we can boost our vitamins, minerals and supplements’ intake is a simple way to safeguard our wellness and feel good.

Which nutrients

Salmon oil has lots of benefits to our health, including our nails, hair and skin, so we can include the fish in our diet if we’ve missed pampering appointments that made up part of our New Year’s resolution! As well as making us glow on the outside, the Omega 3 acids in salmon are good for us on the inside too. It can ease psoriasis, arthritis and depression. If we’ve already succumbed to a few take-out meals and junk food has crept back into our diets occasionally then we can protect our guts by eating probiotics, which help us digest food. Protecting our bones and arteries is also possible via our diets if we eat enough calcium, Vitamin D3 and K2. These nutrients are found in dairy products and transport calcium to our bones rather than leaving it in our bloodstream where deposits might harden our arteries.

Find your energy

Exercise can give us energy, but if your exercise has dropped to fewer times a week than you planned, you can still boost energy levels through your diet. Supplement co-enzyme Q10 is an anti-oxidant that harnesses the energy from our food. As well as giving us a sense of vitality, it can enhance our immune systems and help muscles work better. So, even if our New Year resolutions have slipped a bit, we can still protect our wellness by including these vitamins, minerals and supplements in our daily diets.
