GLIDING gracefully across the floor, dancers of A.C.E Dance Centre entertained patrons at last Saturday’s ‘Silhouettes – A Ballroom and Latin Show’.

Presented by Cancer Support Services in conjunction with A.C.E Dance Centre, this fundraiser was held at the St. Leonard’s Boys’ School auditorium.

Dancing to a number of groovy songs like Pharrell’s “Happy” and Bruno Mars’ “Marry You”, members of the dance club thrilled the audience with the effortless way they executed dances like the cha cha, jive, tango, samba, paso doble and the waltz.

As an added treat to the evening, the audience also enjoyed two renditions by singer, David Howard. Many in attendance could be observed singing along with him as he sang John Legend’s “All of Me”.
In an interview with The Barbados Advocate, President of Cancer Support Services, Gloria Antonia Hinds said her organisation is pleased to have partnered with A.C.E Dance Centre on this inaugural event. She added that she “definitely appreciated” the younger dancers of A.C.E wanting to be on board to give back and support the worthy cause.

“I just want to say thank-you to A.C.E Dance Centre and the principal and all those who came out to support the event. It is the first event and… I am sure things were well received by the patrons, but as an organisation, we will go back to the drawing board to see if we can make this an annual event.”
