Missouri

 

• NORFORK: 67 degrees, clear, 2 feet high. Outlook: Bink’s Guide Service reports: stripers, bass, crappies, walleyes good on Bink’s Spoons in the shallows.

 

• TABLE ROCK: 60 degrees, dingy, one-half foot high. Outlook: White River Lodge reports: bass good on chugger topwater lures, jigs early and late on wobblehead jigs in 4 to 10 feet of water; crappies fair on jigs, minnows under bobbers along gravel flats near Bridgeport on the James River.

 

• STOCKTON: 64 degrees, clear, one-half foot high. Outlook: Stockton Lake Guide Service reports: crappies very good on jigs in 2 to 6 feet of water along spawning banks in the creek arms; bass fair to good on jigs, soft-plastic baits along secondary points; walleyes fair on jerkbaits off main-lake points.

 

• BULL SHOALS: 60 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: 125 Marina reports: bass good on topwater lures early and on Hot’N Tots, Wiggle Warts during the day along spawning banks.

 

• SMITHVILLE: 56 degrees, clear, 1 1/2 feet low. Outlook: Burton’s Bait and Tackle reports: bass very good on jigs, jerkbaits, spinnerbaits in the shallow timber (fish are staging for the spawn); crappies fair but scattered on jigs, minnows; channel catfish good on shad, chicken liver in mouths of coves; white bass good on Road Runners, jigs, spinners in the Little Platte River near Plattsburg.

 

• LONGVIEW: 57 degrees, clear, 3 feet low. Outlook: Longview Lake Marina reports: crappies good on jigs, minnows off the marina docks and in coves.

 

•  TANEYCOMO: clear, variable power generation. Outlook: Lilleys’ Landing reports: Trophy Area: trout fair on pink or chartreuse Trout Magnets under floats, white jigs, scud and zebra midge flies. Below Fall Creek: trout fair on Gulp eggs, marabou jigs under floats in creeks.

 

• LAKE OF THE OZARKS: 57 degrees, clear, 2 1/2 feet low. Outlook: Gier’s Bass Pro reports: crappies good on jigs, minnows along the spawning banks; bass fair on soft-plastic baits, jigs and jerkbaits in the shallows.

 

• TRUMAN: 57 degrees, stained, one-half foot high. Outlook: Bucksaw Marina reports: crappies fair to good on jigs, minnows out from spawning banks; bass fair to good on jigs flipped to shallow cover; catfish good on fresh cut shad on juglines in mouths of creeks and rod and reel on the flats.

 

• POMME DE TERRE: 58 degrees, clear, 1 foot high. Outlook: Muskie Guide Service reports: crappies good on jigs, minnows in 10 to 15 feet of water in the brush out from spawning banks; bass fair to good on jerkbaits, jig-and-pigs, plastic baits in 5 feet of water; muskies poor to fair on Flicker Shad crankbaits.

 

• REED AREA: 61 degrees, clear, 1 foot low. Outlook: Department of Conservation reports: crappies good on tube jigs under bobbers over the shallow brush; bass fair on plastic baits near the brush; bluegills fair on worms under bobbers; trout poor to fair.

 

• JACOMO: 56 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Forty Woods Bait and Tackle reports: crappies fair on jigs off the marina docks and in coves.

 

• BLUE SPRINGS: 55 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Blue Springs Lake Marina reports: crappies fair on jigs, jigging spoons off the marina docks

 

Kansas

 

• MILFORD: 57 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Rick Dykstra reports: white bass, wipers very good on Road Runners, jigs in the deep holes in the river late in the day, especially near Broughton Bridge; bass good on spinnerbaits, plastic baits on the north half of the lake; crappies fair to good on jigs in the brush in 10 to 13 feet of water; blue catfish very good on cut shad near Wakefield Causeway.

 

• LA CYGNE: 63 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Linn County Parks reports: wipers, white bass good on spinners, jigs; bass fair on jig-and-pigs along spawning bank; channel catfish fair on cut bait, shad.

 

• POMONA: 54 degrees, slightly murky, 2 feet low. Outlook: Bait Hut reports: crappies good on jigs, minnows in the Dragoon arm; white bass good on jigs, jigging spoons.

 

• PERRY: 60 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Bait Hut reports: crappies good on jigs, minnows along spawning banks; catfish fair to good on shad along windy banks.; largemouth bass fair on plastic baits

 

• MELVERN: 53 degrees, clear, 3 feet low. Outlook: Melvern Marina reports: crappies fair on jigs, minnows off the dock and on lake; smallmouth bass good on spinnerbaits, plastic finesse baits in shallow, rocky areas.

 

• GLEN ELDER: 54 degrees, clear, 3 feet low. Outlook: Wayne’s Sporting Goods reports: catfish good on shad on the upper end and in the river.

 

• SHAWNEE MISSION: 60 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Johnson County Park and Rec reports: crappies fair on jigs, minnows along the banks; catfish good on stink bait, sunfish along the north shore; bass fair on spinnerbaits along the banks in the morning.

 

• HERITAGE: 62 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Johnson County Park and Rec reports: catfish fair on worms, stink bait along the west side of the dam; crappies fair on spinners along the dam.

 

• KILL CREEK: 62 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Johnson County Park and Rec reports: crappies fair on minnows at the marina; bass fair on spinnerbaits in the shallows; catfish fair on stink bait, worms off the docks.

 

• HILLSDALE: 56 degrees, stained, 1 foot low. Outlook: Jayhawk Marina reports: crappies fair on jigs, minnows in 12 to 16 feet of water out from spawning banks.

 

• WILSON: 56 degrees, clear, low. Outlook: Wildlife, Parks and Tourism reports: crappies fair on jigs, minnows out from spawning banks; stripers fair on bucktail jigs off windy points; bass good on jerkbaits along beaver brush piles, rock piles; white bass fair on shad-colored crankbaits on the upper end and Hell Creek area.

 

• WYANDOTTE: 57 degrees, very clear, one-half foot low. Outlook: Wyandotte Boats reports: channel catfish fair at night on chicken liver, night crawlers off points; crappies fair on jigs, minnows; largemouth bass fair on plastic baits.

 

• EL DORADO: 59 degrees, clear, 1 foot low. Outlook: Wildlife, Parks and Tourism reports: crappies fair to good, white bass and wipers fair on jigs, minnows in 6 to 8 feet of water in rocky areas.

 

• COFFEY COUNTY: 52 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Coffey County reports: smallmouth bass fair on plastic baits in rocky areas.

 

• CLINTON: 55 degrees, clear, low. Outlook: Clinton Marina reports: crappies fair to good on jigs, minnows along spawning banks.

•  GRAND (OKLA.): 61 degrees, fairly clear, normal. Outlook: Jeff Williams reports: catfish good on shad with Dead Red spray in 6 to 10 feet of water; crappies good on Go-Go Minnows off docks; white bass good on Go-Go Minnows, small crankbaits in the Spring and Elk rivers; paddlefish snagging good from Sailboat Bridge to Twin Bridges; black bass fair to good on a variety of baits.

 

•  WHITE RIVER (ARK.): Clear, power generation most of the day. Outlook: Sportsman’s White River Resort reports: rainbow trout fair to good in high water on jerkbaits, crankbaits and in low water on shrimp, PowerBait.

 

•  BEAVER LAKE: 62 degrees, clear, normal. Outlook: Bailey’s Guide Service reports: stripers fair trolling live shad or umbrella rigs with white grubs, or trolling Rapalas, Bombers on flat lines with planer boards.
