NRL: Talks progressing between Locke / Salford

It’s increasingly likely Kevin Locke will leave the Warriors to play in the Super League.

The Kiwis fullback hasn’t played in the NRL this season due to injury, but has been linked with a move away from the club since the arrival of Sam Tomkins from the UK.
Salford owner Marwan Koukash says he’s in advanced talks with the Warriors about a possible transfer.
“Well talks are progressing. There’s more talks that need to be done over the next week or so and we will see what happens.”

Koukash says they’re able to lure Locke north with more than just a big pay packet.

“At Salford we’re building an exciting team that contains two of Kevin’s closest friends – Steve Rapira and Rangi Chase. So there’s other attractions for Kevin to come to Salford.”
The Warriors take on the Storm in the NRL tonight.
