While indulging in a Big Mac is one of life’s guilty pleasures, by sinking your teeth into one of Macca’s sinfully delicious burgers tomorrow, you can help some of Cowra’s up and coming sports stars.

Cowra Netball Association is set to hold a fundraising night at Cowra McDonalds this Tuesday, May 6, between 5pm-8pm.

Cowra Netball Association’s Annette Proctor said Cowra McDonalds will be donating 20 per cent of sales, above what they normally sell, to support the Cowra State Age representative teams going to the 2014 Netball NSW State Age Championships in Campbelltown at the end of the month.

“We have four teams that will be competing in this years’ Championships, Under 12s, 13s, 14s and 15s. The cost per player is $600, so any money that can be raised helps parents with the costs involved.

“The cost covers their accommodation, food and travel to the State Age Championships,” Ms Proctor said.

“We would love for the community to support this fundraising event simply by purchasing tea at Cowra McDonalds on Tuesday 6th May between 5pm-8pm. Even if time is limited, drive-thru sales will be included in the overall figure!”

Cowra Netball Association would also like to give Cowra McDonalds a special thanks for their donation of the Australia Day Cooler bags that will be given to each of the State Age representative players.
