Greg Hodnett has passed a ton of cars this season due to poor starting spots.

Saturday night at Port Royal Speedway, the Spring Grove racer drew the pole position for the 25-lap 410 Sprint car feature and destroyed the field to score his 35th career win at the track.

Aboard Mike Heffner’s No. 27, Hodnett stormed to the lead early and then withstood several red and yellow flags to earn his second Port win of the year and area-leading third overall.

Blane Heimbach, who started ninth, finished five seconds in behind, with Mike Wagner placing third ahead of Rick Lafferty and Dave Ely.

Andrew Yoder came out on top of a good battle with Eric Irvin to capture his third 355-econo late model feature win of the season at the Port.

Irvin, Todd Snook, Tim Krape and Bill Henney were the top five finishers.

Gregg Satterlee tops Hagerstown Speedweek

Utilizing a good draw, defending series champ Gregg Satterlee dominated Saturday night’s 40-lap Appalachian Mountain Late Model Speedweek at Hagerstown Speedway/Dirt Capitol LLC.

Satterlee’s third win of the year at Hagerstown and sixth overall was worth $4,000 after leading the entire 40 lap distance.

Jason Covert raced home in the runner-up spot ahead of Steve Axtell, Jr., Tim McCreadie and Tim Fuller.

Chris Ebersole won the Pure Stock Championship, first win of the season, over Mike Corbin and Rick Stouffer, while Gary Proctor won the hobby stock main and Ryan Laye repeated for the sixth time this year in the four cylinders.

Second win for TJ Stutts

After making contact with race leader Jason Shultz on the seventh lap, TJ Stutts led the rest of the way to capture his second win of the season in Saturday’s 25-lap 360 Sprint car main at Selinsgrove Speedway.

With just 13 cars signed in for the event, Stutts’ win was his 19th career track win as he topped Mark Smith, Davie Franek, Colby Womer and Shultz.

Dave Zona recorded his second career 25-lap late model feature win at the track over Andy Haus, Steve Campbell, Tony Adams and Donnie Schick.

Double wins for Jeff Rohrbaugh

For the first time in his career, Jeff Rohrbaugh swept 358 sprint car action with a Friday night win at Trail-Way Speedway and backed that up with his 10th career Lincoln Speedway win Saturday night.

After suffering motor woes early in the season, the York driver sat out a few weeks and made a big return this weekend with the two wins.

He led every lap both nights after starting on the front row.

At Trail-Way, Rohrbaugh took the win over Robbie Kendall, Randy Whisler, Seth Kearchner and Denny Gross while his Lincoln victory came over Doug Hammaker, 11th starter Niki Young, Chandler Leiby and Chase Dietz.

Scott Geesey back at it at the Grove

A week removed from suffering slight burns to his feet, Wellsville racer Scott Geesey came away with the win in the 20-lap Super Sportsman feature Saturday at Williams Grove Speedway.

Geesey’s second overall win of the year came over Rich Eichelberger, Scott Dellinger, Chad Criswell and Russ Mitten.
