Pleasanton offers free movies in the park beginning July 10

PLEASANTON — The city of Pleasanton has announced its line-up of free summer movies, which will run Thursdays from July 10 through Aug. 14.

 

The shows begin at dusk and all will be shown on a giant screen at Amador Valley Community Park, 4455 Black Ave. All movies are rated G or PG.

 

The season will open July 10 with Walt Disney’s “Frozen.” Next up, on July 17, will be “Despicable Me 2;” followed on July 24 by “The Lego Movie,” on July 31 by “Enders Game;” on Aug. 7 by “Hunger Games: Catching Fire” and on Aug. 14 by “Man of Steel.”

 

Seating will be in sections marked for blanket seating in the front, low-back beach chairs in the center, and camp chairs and other higher-backed seats to the rear.

 

Blankets or chairs may not be placed on the lawn before 10 a.m.
