New Pond Farm’s photography show finale is Saturday
New Pond Farm on Marchant Road will be hosting a final gathering for its spring photography show on Saturday, June 14, from 2 to 4.
“Light refreshments will be served to all who come to see the vistas, flora, and tranquil scenes of our cows, sheep and chicken,” reports Ann Taylor, executive director. “Close to 50 regional photographers have transferred their visions of the farm to print. Come and browse the portraits of the farm’s bounty and find images of a place that so perfectly reminds us of our elemental connection to the land.”
Gallery hours are 10 to 5 Monday through Friday and noon to 4 Saturdays.
The biannual photography show has gathered almost 50 photographers to capture one subject for one year — New Pond Farm — with its variety of flora, fauna and farm life across the four seasons.
Traditional silver, hand colored, abstract, giclee on rice paper, canvas and plexi, aerial, astro, scanner, tin type, collage and iPhoneography are some of the mediums and treatments on display during the show. Chris Rexon has been organizer of the show.
