CORPUS CHRISTI (Kiii News) –  Rollo’s Kids Foundation, a local non-profit organization, is hosting a two-hour Zumba event at Latin Fuego Cardio Madness form 1-3 p.m. Saturday, and if you participate, you will be helping kids collect some much needed school supplies. The Foundation aims at helping hardworking employed families that have a hard time making ends meet.

“We are trying to help 120 kids in the Coastal Bend,” Rollo’s Kids Founder Savannah Vera said. “There are the kids that families do not qualify for assistance because they fall within those income guidelines, but yet they are not making ends meet at the same time. So we want to reach out to those families and help them at this time.”

The fee to participate in the event is a $10 donation and one school supply item. The Foundation is in need of backpacks, notebooks, crayons, binders, pencils and paper.

If you know a family that can benefit from the donations, the nonprofit is accepting applications on its website for families that meet certain income requirements. For more information, go to www.rolloskids.org.
