ANNE’S Assassins team captain Anne Kane held a Zumba For Life fundraiser at the weekend, ahead of the big Relay For Life cancer fundraiser in September.
Ms Kane was overwhelmed with the support for Zumba For Life at the Killarney Recreation Centre on Sunday afternoon with about 60 adults and 20 children joining in.
Ms Kane, who runs the Get Kaned Fitness classes at Killarney three times a week, said she stepped out last Sunday with doing a Zumba class as she had never done with Zumba before.
Her team has raised about $2500 so far and has set a target of $5000 to reach before the September 13 event.
Julie May, who attended the Zumba class with her daughter Angela, said it was her first time doing Zumba and she enjoyed the afternoon and would consider doing it again.
Get Kaned is held at the Killarney Recreation Centre on Sundays from 4pm and Wednesday and Friday evening from 6pm.
