FT. COLLINS, Colo. (BRAIN) — Niner Bikes is launching a new cyclocross model, the BSB 9 RDO, which joins the RLT 9 as the mountain bike brand’s second drop-bar bike.
The aluminum RLT 9, launched last year, is intended for gravel grinding, commuting and adventure riding, while the new carbon fiber BSB 9 RDO was designed specifically for cyclocross competition.
The carbon frame weighs less than 1,000 grams in a 56cm size. It’s designed for disc brakes and has a tapered headtube and Maxle front axle. Niner spec’d a traditional 135mm quick release rear axle for weight savings. The frame is compatible with cables or Shimano Di2 wiring including a seatpost battery. It has a 68mm PF30 bottom bracket shell and will be available in six sizes and two colors.
Niner will make the RLT 9 available as a frameset ($2,299 MSRP) and offer three full-bike component options, starting at MSRP $2,999 with Shimano 105 components.
