DeMarco and Palmer debating at Regions Field
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WIAT) — The Governor’s race isn’t until November, but an important race to determine who represents the state up in Washington is heading to a runoff in July.
The run-off between state representative Paul DeMarco and Alabama Policy Institute co-founder, Gary Palmer is set for July 15th. The two were the top vote-getters out of seven Republicans who set out to fill the shoes of Spencer Bachus who is retiring after 21 years in office.
You can find out more about DeMarco and Palmer and the issues important to them by attending a debate at Regions Field Thursday night. The event is hosted by WAPI radio and the Greater Birmingham Young Republicans. The event kicks off with a cocktail hour at 6 p.m. with the debate starting at 7 p.m.
