2014 US Lacrosse National Girl’s High School Awards
The Oregon Chapter, US Lacrosse and the Oregon Girls Lacrosse Association (OGLA) are pleased to announce the 2014 US Lacrosse National Girls’ High School All-American and Academic All- American awards for Oregon.
The All-American status is awarded to players who exhibit superior skills and techniques, exceptional game sense, good sportsmanship and knowledge of the game of lacrosse. The following players have been recognized nationally for their lacrosse skills as well as for their leadership and contributions both on and off the field. Candidate selection is made by the All-American Selection Committee which was composed of coaches and OGLA past or present members.
2014 1st Team All-Americans:
Mariah Gatti is a senior this year at West Linn High School and is coached by Megan Elston. Honors: 2014 1st Team All State, 2014 1st Team All-League TRL, 2013 US Lacrosse All- American.
Caitlyn Henderson is a senior at Beaverton High School and is coached by Lacey Beaty. Honors: 2014 2nd Team All-State, 2014 1st Team All-League Metro, 2013 Honorable Mention All-American.
Lilly Newman is a senior at Lake Oswego High School and is coached by Lauren Anderson. Honors: 2014 1st Team All State, 2014 1st Team All-League TRL, 2014 State Champions, 2013 US Lacrosse All-American, 2012 Honorable Mention All-American.
Madeline Reece is a junior at Lake Oswego High School and is coached by Lauren Anderson. Honors: 2014 MVP Championship Game, 2014 2nd Team All-State, 2014 1st Team All-League TRL, 2014 State Champions.
2014 Honorable Mention All-Americans:
Abby Bergevin is a senior at Lake Oswego High School and is coached by Lauren
Anderson. Honors: 2014 2nd Team All-League TRL, 2013 Honorable Mention All-American.
Lacey Bjorndal is a senior at Sherwood High School and is coached by Mark Flint. Honors: 2014 1st Team All-State, 2014 1st Team All-League Northwest.
Natalie Byrne is a sophomore at West Linn High School and is coached by Megan Elston. Honors: 2014 1st Team All-State, 2014 1st Team All-League TRL.
Hanna Morford is a junior at West Linn High School and is coached by Megan Elston. Honors: 2014 2nd Team All-League TRL.
