Sundre High School students won the track and field provincial championship for the sixth consecutive year.

There were 16 athletes who participated in the championship held in Calgary on June 6 and 7.

Lucas Dyer received gold in the pole vault category, Dallas Wild won silver in the high jump, as well as bronze in shot put, and Kate Jackson won bronze in pole vault.

The students also won the track and field zone championship last month for the ninth consecutive year.

“A great thank you to the 47 athletes that worked hard to bring the zone banner home and the 16 who gave it their best to bring the provincial banner home,” said coach Judy Jackson.
