How Natural Soaps Are good For You And The Environment

Whilst the use of soaps and associated liquids is often considered to be the best means of staying clean and retaining personal-hygiene, many soap products contain elements that can be bad for you. If you suffer from allergies, you’re probably aware that certain soaps can aggravate symptoms and cause unpleasant skin-irritations, and on occasion – body aches and head-aches. As well as having a negative impact on people, these toxins can also be harmful to the environment, but, fortunately there are more natural alternatives that are better for you and the eco-system.

In order to make an effective cleanser – it is necessary to combine three ingredients: washing soda, borax and bar soap. This combination of the three creates a substance, which is adsorbent, sanitary and substantial – and all ingredients are easily sourced.

If you wish to try and do this at home its best to find a space that is ventilated and airy. You can start the process by mixing the three ingredients in a large bowl and use medium-sized bottles to store the solution within. In order to produce effective quantities – you should mix at-least sixteen ounces of washing soda with an equal amount of borax, and then blend in the bar soap with a wooden spoon – until you have produced your soap-like substance. In order to keep the produce clean, it’s advisable to wear gloves.

Once you have made the substance you should test its effectiveness by putting around one third of a cap in your washing-machine. It’s worth remembering that this substance does not produce the sort of big bubbles that you may associate with mainstream and mass-produced detergents, so don’t think it’s not working if you don’t see them.

Whilst this process does initially require some effort, it can make a big impact on your health if you give it a go.
