How to Manage Your Stress Effectively
The first step in stress management is learning to identify the various symptoms of stress as there are good and bad symptoms. According to the Health Management Health Center, stress is the physical response to the body’s “fight or flight” reaction. This is a built-in response that humans have had since the beginning of time. When you get stressed your rate increases, your blood pressure rises and your breathing speeds up.
Stress is very bad for you. When you stress it can lead to chronic stress which can badly damage the body. It causes a number of issues including depression, heart problems, anxiety, psychological problems and high blood pressure. The longer that stress is a part of your life, the more damage you can do, and obviously it can lead to worsen symptoms and conditions.
One of the best ways to fight stress is to identify the triggers that cause you problems and then ridding them from your life. If you have a stressful job, do everything that you can to become better organised both internally and externally. Make sure you sleep well, eat properly and create a lifestyle where you have eliminated all the possible stressors.
If you want to feel better about yourself, it is the best plan reward yourself, exercise and give yourself positive feedback whenever you succeed or do something right. Pat yourself on the back as you should be your own best friend. If you take maximum care of yourself as a person, you will find that stress will keep away.
Stress management is all about letting go of what is causing your problems. Take the time to keep things right in your life and you’ll be much happier.
