New Natural Anti-Ageing Trend Helps Heart Health

There is a new trend in anti-ageing board certification whereby medical practitioners undergo further training mainly in the areas of lifestyle, nutritional therapies and bio-identical hormones as opposed to synthetics or hormones naturally derived from animals. This is according to the ongoing anti-ageing conference by the Society of Anti-Ageing and Regenerative Medicine (SAAARM), which notes that the aim of this anti-ageing certification is to equip medical practitioners with the basics of nutritional therapies and lifestyle intervention as a better alternative to lifelong drug intervention.

As part of the conference, a medical doctor told the story of how his own wellness suffered from a heart attack, and he was admitted to ICU. As a doctor himself, he was obviously familiar with the standard treatment and the risk and benefits of western medical practice, but he turned the standard drug treatment down. Instead, the doctor took charge of his wellbeing and implemented his own protocol consisting of various natural supplements. These included therapeutic doses of CoQ10, D-Ribose and L-Carnitine.

The supplements that the doctor used are known as nutraceuticals or natural nutrients. While it’s important to note that he signed the necessary disclaimers, the doctor made a full recovery. However, the more interesting outcome of the case is that the doctor’s recovery was faster than any typical myocardial infarction would have been, all of which was verified by blood tests and a physical examination by his attending doctor. Now, the doctor recommends personalised nutritional supplementation to all his patients, as opposed to drugs.

Another case study revealed that a 52-year-old woman, who was newly diagnosed as diabetic and hypertensive with blood pressure of 180/100, managed to take years off her life with a similar wellness protocol. Using basic nutrition, nutraceuticals and a personalised anti-ageing plan, the executive’s blood pressure dropped to near normal levels within a matter of weeks.

By the time three months had passed, her blood test report showed a drastic reduction in risks for cardiovascular disease. On top of this, the woman had had been suffering from anxiety and insomnia for the best part of two years, due to perimenopause. Yet, her personalised regime took mere weeks before she was having restful nights and, in her own words, ‘it is heaven to not be so anxious anymore.’
