Prior to her debilitating stroke, Patty traveled to many foreign countries, the last being Antarctica, Machu Picchu, the Galapagos Islands and the Amazon rain forest.
Dr. Pepper began her medical career as an osteopathic physician in McConnelsville, Ohio, and from there to Baker, Mont., in private practice and later to Wishek, N.D., and then to Cooperstown, N.D., from approximately 1988 to 1995.
