JUNCTION CITY, Kan. (WIBW) – A large crowd was on hand Saturday morning in Junction City as dozens gathered for a full day of exercise and adventure.
Lake Adventures Racing sent teams and individuals on a foot, bike, and kayak journey around the Milford Lake area.
Contestants received a map at the start of the event and were assigned the task of reaching a series of checkpoints in order to finish.
“My job as the navigator is, I carry the maps and insure that our team can smoothly and hopefully get to each checkpoint – from checkpoint to checkpoint,” said Chris Love of the “Already Lost” team. “Other teammates, they ensure that we’re eating, we’re drinking, and just general company to have a good time.”
Races started at 6 a.m. and were completed by 8 p.m.
