How To Eat More Food But Lose Weight
The idea of losing weight is extremely popular but there is often a misconception that the only way to lose weight is to reduce the amount that you eat. In fact, often you can lose weight simply by altering what you eat and in some cases you can even eat more and still lose weight. Here are four examples.
Eat more for breakfast
It can often be tempting to skip breakfast or eat a very small first meal of the day if you want to lose weight. But research shows that this is actually counter-productive. The best plan is to start the day well with a large, healthy breakfast that sets you up for a day of healthiness.
Eat more fruit
According to recent research we should try to eat fruit just before meals. Fruit is filled with great vitamins and minerals that are very important for our bodies, but are also important as they can stop you from overindulging to foods that are higher in fat. Fruit sometimes gets a bad name because it is usually relatively high in sugar, but the fact is it is good sugar that can be easily dealt with and used up by the body.
Eat more whole grains
Whole grains which have not been processed are an excellent thing to eat more of if you want to lose weight. Whole grains have the dual benefit of being packed with nutrients, but also keeping you fuller for longer meaning that you won’t be tempted to snack on junk food. Whole grains are a very important aspect of your diet if you want to lose the pounds.
Eat more to grow muscle
This one’s a bit of a trick, because growing muscle will actually make you heavier. But of course when most people talk about wanting to lose weight they mean they want to get rid of unsightly fat. Having more muscle means that you’ll weigh more, but you’ll look slimmer and in better shape. You can do this by eating plenty of protein which will keep you energised during your weight lifting sessions at the gym.
