BOWLING GREEN, KY (WSMV) – A man driving a van may have attempted to kidnap a female teenager who was jogging in a Bowling Green neighborhood on Wednesday, according to authorities.Bowling Green police responded to Hampton Drive after a 17-year-old female, who was running along the street, reported a man drove by and stopped, asking her if she wanted a ride due to the rain. The teen declined and said the man drove away.
The female said the man then approached on foot and told her she was coming with him, according to the police.
The teen ran to a friend’s house nearby and called police.
The suspect was described as a dark-complexioned man standing about 5’10” with dark spiked hair. He was seen driving a full-sized white van with no windows on the side.
