The animals at Woodlands Family Theme Park near Dartmouth are ready for a month of World Cup football and busy showing their support for the ‘beautiful game’.

Woodlands’ Chilean Rose Tarantula is waiting for the match between Chile and Spain on Wednesday, June 18.

While the raccoons – big fans of American sports – are insisting it is ‘soccer’ not ‘football’!

The tarantula and raccoons can all be seen with the rest of their animal friends at the Woodlands’ zoo farm.

Park mascots Seawood the sea dragon and new arrival Nutty Squirrel have been getting ready for England’s football games by dressing up in the England flags and making sure all Woodlands’ guests are getting into the World Cup spirit.

Woodlands will be running World Cup-related competitions all month. For details, log onto the Woodlands Facebook page.
