BIRMINGHAM, Alabama — Dancers from Sanspointe Dance Company will be spending some time at the library this week, not only because they’re a studious bunch, but because they like to dance.

Free shows will feature choreography by company members Shellie Chambers, Michelle Knutson, Sara Turney and new company director Taryn Ann Brown. The dances are family friendly and inspired by library experiences anyone can relate to. Music Director Justin Wallace will supply original music.

The library tour starts Monday at Five Points West Public Library and ends downtown on Friday. Here is the schedule:

Monday, June 16, 6 p.m., Five Points West Public Library, 4812 Avenue W, Birmingham.

Tuesday, June 17, 6 p.m. Pinson Public Library, 4410 Main St., Pinson.

Thursday, June 19, 6 p.m. Gardendale Public Library, 995 Mount Olive Rd., Gardendale.

Friday, June 20, 5 p.m. Central Downtown Public Library, 2100 Park Place, Birmingham.
