Red Red Wine. Makes Men Live Longer And Helps Fight Pain

There are people who’ll argue the medicinal value of almost all things and provided you do them in moderation there are a lot of different things that you can do to improve your wellness. That’s the important part though, right there. You’ve got to be careful not to overdo things, even the things that are the very best for us can be dangerous when taken in excessive amounts. Excessive exercise brings on arthritis early; excessive eating of health foods leads to malnutrition and so on. Life is all about striking a balance between what we like and what we need, never taking too much or too little of either.

One of the many things which has been suggested to be beneficial in smaller quantities is wine. Of course, as soon as the topic is broached it’s usually overwhelmed by a torrent of naysayers who stamp and shout about the relative dangers of alcohol consumption. Yes, it can be dangerous but then so can over the counter medicine. As they say, the only difference between medicine and poison is dosage. It’s said that a glass of red wine a day will help men live longer, quite why it’s not the same for ladies I don’t know…

Biochemist Greg Jardine base in Brisbane, Australia, has said that he’s found a way of packing wine with so much of the good stuff that it’s sure to help treat all sorts of conditions. By increasing the amount of antioxidants in a bottle of wine and making them much more fat soluble he thinks he’s cracked a way of helping to treat conditions in a way patients will enjoy. The hope is that this new type of wine will help treat chronic conditions like arthritis and similar autoimmune disorders from which patients often have little to no relief.
