The Glass of Red Wine Which Could Ease Your Arthritis

Red wine has been known to have certain health benefits for a long time and there are those that say a glass a day could help you to live longer. This argument is generally overridden by people pointing out the relative damage which alcohol can do to your body. There’s no denying that it can be an incredibly destructive force in the lives of certain people and drinking to excess is never a good idea. However, anything can be made dangerous in excessive quantities and the only difference between a medicine and a poison is dosage.

It’s the anti-inflammatory agents and antioxidants within red wine which hold the benefits but generally they exist in such small quantities that the damage of the alcohol outweighs any healing. Recently an Australian biochemist has claimed to have perfected a wine which tastes great and is chock full of antioxidants and anti-inflammatories. This wine is supposed to have so many of these beneficial agents that any damage that the alcohol may cause is totally mitigated by the potential for healing.

Increasing the level of antioxidants in which has been tried before but in the past doing so has always made the wine taste foul. Now however, the scientist in question has found away round this. He’s made the antioxidants more fat soluble which both makes them much easier for our bodies to absorb and makes the wine much more palatable. Two birds with one healthy stone.

Drinking this super-wine would be great for patients suffering from inflammatory conditions like arthritis or asthma. In lab tests using rats it was shown that drinking the wine improved the mobility and wellbeing of the arthritic rats. The next step is human testing but most involved are certain that this too will show success!

In six months there could well be a new range of healthy wine on the shelves, specially formulated to help you beat those pesky chronic conditions!
