Fall Asleep With Exercise Before Sleeping Pills
Do you have trouble falling asleep? Many people do find it difficult to get any sleep at night for a variety of complex reasons. Part of it can be to do with lack of exercise. According to a poll by the National Sleep Foundation exercising at any time of day can make it easier for you to get a good night’s sleep. Specifically, the survey found that people who exercise, whether it was light or vigorous, early in the day or right before bed, sleep better than people who don’t exercise at all.
People who were surveyed and took part in exercise were more likely to say that they had experienced a good night’s sleep than those who did no exercise. More than three-quarters of people who exercised rated their sleep as fairly good or very good, compared to only around half of people who didn’t get any physical activity.
Insomnia is a very serious health problem and losing sleep can make you foggy and prone to mood swings during the day. However, it is known that if the problem persists you can also develop much more serious health problems such as heart problems, high blood pressure, Type 2 diabetes and it can even cause you to gain weight.
That’s why if you have trouble sleeping it’s worth making changes to ensure that you start getting enough for the health of your body. The survey found that people who do regular exercise or practice meditation or yoga were more likely to be able to wake up the same time every day and feel refreshed from the sleep that they had.
But if these changes don’t work it might be worth going to see the doctor to get some sort of sleeping medication. It’s thought that if you can combine sleeping drugs with exercise, this gives you the best chance of recovering and being able to sleep without the help of the drugs eventually.
