Red Apple Lipstick: Change the Bad but Keep the Beauty
When getting rid of anything unpleasant, you usually have to get rid of something pleasant first. Much of the makeup we use today is unsatisfactory for a lot of women because of the contents that compose it—paraben, gluten, soy, etc.
These contents can cause various amounts of issues for our bodies.
Gluten is the first issue, and a lot of the leading makeup companies have gluten in their product, as it has been one of the main components in makeup for a long time. This probably would not be that big of an issue, but those with celiac disease can’t intake gluten, and that’s up to ten percent of people.
That’s a sizable portion of users not being able to use makeup, which is a shame, doubly so if they decide to use the makeup regardless as it can lead to serious health issues.
Gluten in makeup, along with other gluten products can damage a person’s digestive system. Those with celiac disease cannot digest the protein composites and it can cause severe damage to the inner lining of the small intestines.
Paraben is a slightly different issue however. For a long time, paraben has been used as a preservative for personal care products. The idea was that paraben is good for you because it keeps the personal care items fresh. Yet, it is these preservatives that are appearing to be a threat to people’s health.
Though it is not indefinite, researchers are becoming more and more certain that paraben can lead to cancer due to the fact its chemicals can be absorbed directly into the skin. So far, no evidence exists in showing that it is a cause of cancer. However, parabens were easily detected among cancerous cells.
Now we can move onto soy. Soy is not entirely bad in its purest form and in moderation, but too much of it can cause several health issues.
What sucks is that it is more than easy to get an excessive amount of impure soy in your diet and through your makeup. One source calls this kind of soy GMO soy. GMO soy is processed soy, which is why it has been called “a ghost of a nutrition food.”
It is a cheap form of protein for processed foods, and when we put excessive amounts of this in our bodies (which is not hard to do as it is in so much of the food we eat as well as in our makeup) we can actually OD on it! Ultimately, too much soy can lead to issues with how your body absorbs minerals.
So, here we are with makeup and a lot of these allegedly okay components inside of it. Because we know these components to be otherwise, do we just throw away our makeup supply and cease in buying and applying it?
Well, if you are using makeup products with these ingredients, you can do one of three things: First, you could just stop using makeup. Second, you could ignore the health factors and still use it. Third, you could stop using the specific gluten, paraben, and soy-filled products, and try a new product that doesn’t restrict your ability to look the way you want without worrying you about health factors such as cancer, gluten intolerance, and decreasing your ability to absorb necessary materials.
Moreover, with Red Apple Lipstick, you don’t have to give up things like the quality of your makeup, ease in applying your make up, and the overall appearance of your make up. You can continue to express yourself the way you feel best without the stress. It’s a win-win.
