For a second straight year, Love INC is participating in the Feinstein Foundation $1 Million Giveaway Challenge to Fight Hunger. Now through April 30, each food item donated will be valued at $1 toward the challenge, with Love INC receiving up to a maximum of $35,000 from the Feinstein Foundation.
Alan Shawn Feinstein is a philanthropist and humanitarian who established the foundation in Rhode Island in 1991. A main goal of the foundation is to alleviate hunger in the United States. For the past 16 years, Feinstein has challenged hunger-fighting agencies nationwide to take the challenge.
Grand Haven Christian School held a food drive March 31 to April 4. The school had a large quantity to donate to Love INC thanks to the hard work by the students.
Donations may be dropped off at Love INC, 1106 Fulton Ave. in Grand Haven. Be sure to specify that your donation is to go to the Feinstein Challenge.
