Jiayi, representing Federal Territories, will be competing in her fourth Games since making her debut in 2008 in Terengganu.

“I will be competing in the 10 metre platform individual and synchronised event this year,” she said.

“This will be my fourth time at the Games, and I want to win gold in both my events,” said Jiayi, who is in Guanajuato, Mexico, for the fifth leg of the FINA Diving GP.

Compatriot Nur Dhabitah Sabri, who is also in Mexico, will partner Jiayi in Perlis next week.

Jiayi, 16, won two gold (10m platform individual and 3m synchronised springboard), two silver (1m springboard individual and and 10m platform synchronised) and one bronze (3m springboard individual) at the 2012 Games in Pahang.

The Bukit Jalil Sports School (BJSS) student, however, can only compete in two events this time, as she had represented Malaysia in the Myanmar Sea Games last year.

The 2012 Asian Championships medallist, will debut at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow (July), the Youth Olympics in Nanjing (August) and Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea (September).
