It can be really easy to stop exercising when suffering from rheumatoid arthritis as initially it might make any pain you’re experiencing worse. However, persistent studies have shown that by adopting fairly gentle exercise routines and then sticking too them you can help to maintain your mobility and ease any pain. The trick is to pick a low impact exercise and not to overdo it; too much exercise will just make the damage a lot worse.

 

A great idea is water aerobics as it’s fantastic for moving the whole body but doesn’t create as much strain on the joints because the water supports a lot of your weight!
