The Foundation Stones Of Weight Loss Are Eroding…
There’s a lot of information which is just accepted when it comes to weight loss. We know fats are bad for us and that nutrients and vitamins are good for us. We understand the value of exercise and we’ve come to accept that it’s unlikely that we’ll ever do what’s considered ‘enough’ of it. For the most part we’ll find our own balance and then strive to hold that balance against all odds.
For some of us the balance gets tipped by work or family, meaning we may struggle to stay healthy or in shape. Very few people will remain in one shape for their entire lives.
Without thinking about it most people will change their weight loss program to suit them. That’s great; this is exactly what you should be doing. Instead of trying to fit your life around weight loss you’re trying to fit weight loss around your life. But, what happens when one of the cornerstones of weight loss turns out to be false? The whole building could well come crashing all the way down.
For a long time a lot of leading health authorities have been suggesting switching from saturated animal fats to polyunsaturated vegetable fats. A new study is now suggesting that in actuality, polyunsaturated vegetable fats could increase your risk of heart disease rather than diminish them. This flies in the face of nearly half a century of dieting and weight loss and thought it’s yet to be proven definitively, the evidence is certainly stacking up.
What this goes to show is that though there’s a lot we think we know all it takes is one fact being wrong and years and years of research and knowledge falls through. Talk to your doctor for more information about this and to check that your diet is actually doing the most good for you. The last thing you want is to be working really hard to lose weight and find that all your efforts are in vain.
