The Truth About Supplements

There are certain dietary supplements which have a genuinely positive impact on your life. Taking them will improve your health in slight or profound ways and you’ll feel better for it. These supplements will fill a void in your diet, a certain vitamin or mineral which you haven’t been getting enough of will be replaced and in doing so you’ll achieve a balance diet. Taking supplements of things you already get enough of can actually poison you. There isn’t a single thing which you can eat endless quantities of without some effect or another and most things have a certain point after which they’re poisonous. The only difference between medicine and poison is dose and the more potent and medicine the more delicate the dose needs to be.

A lot of supplements claim remarkable, seemingly miraculous abilities. Some claim to keep your hearth healthy, others claim to protect from cancer and there are others still which infer the ability to immunise you to certain diseases. The fact is that if most or any of that was actually true, those products wouldn’t be supplements they’d be medicines and which doctors would readily prescribe. Anything which actively helps to cure cancer would be worldwide news and purchased in massive quantities.

There are certain kinds of supplements which claim these all powerful benefits which actually do the patients who take them much more harm than good. Natural supplements are much less likely to be harmful. It tends to be the processed supplements which do the most damage to people! You need to be smart about what you put into your body, anything that seems too good to be true probably is. Miracle cures aren’t any more real now than they were in the Middle Ages.
