When you think about sex outside the bedroom, your imagination might only stretch as far as the Mile High Club or sex on the beach, but when it comes down to it, these locations may be somewhat overrated – you try doing it in a tiny aeroplane cubicle that stinks of urine – but there could be a perfect sex spot for you that you never even thought of.
Firstly, when out and about, you’d think that the beach would be the perfect backdrop for a night of passion, but in fact a roll around in the sand feels about as liberating as doing it on a water bed made of cement, and you know that gritty sand is bound to find its way into areas that it should never be in! The wellness of your tender areas will benefit far more from a trip to the woods. Though it may not make you think of blow-your-mind sex, the lower expectations of a camping trip-cuddle will help to improve the experience and all you need is a double sleeping bag and a campfire to get the tent rocking.
However, if sex outside of four solid walls doesn’t do it for you, let’s look at other areas in the house. Though the kitchen counter may look appealing, the sharp angles and hard marble are a backache waiting to happen! A carpeted basement is the soft and soundproof surface you need, especially as it will bring back memories of after-school rendezvous. While we’re at your place, leaving the blinds open may feel wild in the moment, but just picture bumping into your neighbours the next morning. Instead, why not opt for a hotel room with the curtains open just slightly. That way, you get the thrill of strangers potentially catching a tiny glimpse of you two, but without embarrassing yourself in front of the whole town.
When it comes to occasions to have sex, call me unromantic but the wedding night is entirely overrated. You’ve been up since seven, and spent the day dancing, standing around, posing for photos and talking to relatives you don’t like, all the while in heels – are you really in the mood? Save it for the honeymoon! One occasion you may not have thought of is a sexy Saturday morning. You’ll be amazed at how much more pep you’ll bring to the bedroom when you grab each other whilst the kids are watching cartoons!
