Eat Right For Good Sight

Adding certain foods to your diet can boost your eye health and protect against vision-threatening diseases like cataracts, glaucoma, poor night vision, dry eyes and age-related macular degeneration. BerryWorld Raspberry, Blackberry, Peach, Almond Butter & Yoghurt Smoothie
(Serves 2)

Eat Right For Good Sight-1Both raspberries and blackberries improve vision and prevent eye and retina infections due to their antioxidant content, in particular, vitamin C and ellagic acid. Beta-carotene (needed to make vitamin A) and the vitamin C in peaches also nourishes and protects the retina of your eyes from free radical damage.

Ingredients

  • A punnet of raspberries
  • A punnet of blackberries
  • A peach
  • Almond butter
  • Yoghurt

Method

1. Put a handful of raspberries, a handful of blackberries and a chopped peach into a blender or smoothie-maker. Add a dollop of almond butter and a dollop of yogurt, and then whizz until smooth. Add a little water or milk if it’s too thick.
