What Do You Need to Know About Penis Enlargements?

The internet is awash with information on the latest products that can boost the size of your penis, from tablets to penis extenders, but do they really work? Men often have anxiety about their penis, mainly from watching porn and films where men are displayed as being well endowed. The majority of men have nothing to worry about though, as most men’s penises are perfectly healthy and even an average size. Men who have concerns about their body and genital region should speak to a health professional first before they begin experimenting with various treatments – while some may be inexpensive and seemingly easy to use, they can also be harmful. This is a treatment that’s best done under the guidance of a professional, rather than via some home treatment bought off the internet. A lot of the time, the issue boils down to body confidence as opposed to a genuine issue, which can be dealt with through counselling.

There are many things you can do to boost the size of your penis, or at the very least improve the appearance of its size. For example, losing weight can make your genital region appear bigger, as a beer belly hanging over your penis can make it seem smaller than it really is. You could also trim your pubic hair and get fit – getting into shape will not only improve your body confidence and your appearance, but it could also improve your sex life. Pills are commonly associated with penis enlargements, advertised in junk mail and internet pop-ups. They could be harmful to your health though, so they should be approached with caution. Pills and lotions have no proven effect on the size of your penis – lotions could help you become more comfortable with your penis though, which may benefit your confidence. Likewise, penis pumps don’t do much for the long term size of your penis. They work by drawing blood into the penis to increase its size – they can be a great short term treatment for impotence though. There are risks attached to overusing these pumps, as they could potentially damage the delicate tissues around the penis. In the long run, they could even lead to weaker erections.

Penile extenders use a weight or small extending frame to gradually stretch the penis. There is no clinical evidence to prove this will work and it could be extremely dangerous if carried out incorrectly. There are some surgical options as well, such as injecting fat into the penis to increase the size, and penis extension that increases the length. The former of these treatments has been met with mixed reviews, with men often stating that they are disappointed with the results. There is a risk of scarring, lumpiness and infection, as well as disfigurement. There is also an experimental treatment which works by pulling the skin of the penis back so that a tube-like wrap can be inserted underneath – this is made up of tissue cells and sits around the shaft to increase the size. Men who are overweight may also benefit from liposuction, which draws fat from the stomach out to reveal a slimmer physique and a seemingly enlarged penis size. Before you look to such drastic measures, you should attempt to become more comfortable with your body. This may be through spending more time working out why you’re so unhappy with how you look, or through speaking to a counsellor who can work through your issues with you and help you get to the foundation of the problem.
