Energy Healing and the Mind

Energy Healing has been around since before the times of Jesus Christ, it’s not a new ideal and it’s incredibly broad in its usage and origins as most cultures have some form of energy healing or belief thereabouts. It’s the idea that the laying on of hands can help to restore a body, emotionally mainly but often physically too. Jesus himself was an energy healer and as you’ll remember he laid on hands and all sorts of miraculous things were supposed to have happened.

There are all sorts of scientific and spiritual theories behind the use and possible successes of energy healing. Scientists are unwilling to accept that it’s all mystic powers and spiritual energy but they’re unable to say that it’s all smoke and mirrors as quite often, patients do experience considerable improvement of their ailments.

I’m of the belief that the human mind itself is responsible for any improvements. I think this because our minds are immensely powerful things and if we believe something strongly then our minds will effect a change. Monks in Asia are capable of stopping their hearts with the power of their brains so I don’t  think it’s that much of a leap that we’d be able to feel better physically or psychologically after a session of energy healing. In a way it’s a much more profound version of the placebo affect, a much deeper and more spiritual version of such. Many beliefs hold that the gateway to the spirit world is our minds and in the sense that we can harness immense power with our minds, this could well be true.

All beliefs are valid and nobody has the right to tell you what to believe. If energy healing is something which you’d be interested in trying then why not give it a go? The worst that will happen is you’ll learn something and the best is that you’ll feel better!
