Easy Ways to Get the Toned Body You Can be Proud of

Fitness does not have to be a massive chore – there are easy ways that you can help to create a leaner, toner figure for yourself. One of the most important ways that you can look nice is to have good posture. If you are hunched over you are creating the illusion of excess body fat and you are not creating a confident, elongated body shape either.

 

Rounded shoulders also thicken your torso by making it look shorter, so try hard to keep your ears up over your shoulders, with your shoulders relaxed and down. A good trick for this is to imagine that you are wearing long, dangly earrings that touch the top of your shoulders. This will help you to remember to keep your shoulders down.

 

In addition to this, keep your rib cage up. If you have weak upper-back muscles, you may tend to angle your chest in a downwards angle, which makes your boobs look less perky. Lift up the sternum (the breast bone that is inside your chest) up by a few inches to create an elongated torso for yourself.

 

Keeping your pelvis parallel is a good way to improve your posture too. Try to imagine that your pelvis is a bucket full of water. When you tip your hips forward or lift your bottom up, you will spill water out of the bucket. Keep the bucket level and this will avoid making your stomach stick out at the front.

 

The mere mention of a sticking out stomach has probably just made you suck yours in, but if you want a smooth, toned-looking stomach try to imagine it as a sponge, and squeeze out a little of the water rather than sucking it in altogether.
