Easy Ways to Lose Weight While Working From Home

Working from home can be a major pitfall in your quest for wellness and wellbeing. When you’re at home, temptation is all around you – usually in the cupboards and in the fridge. It’s very easy to constantly pick and snack throughout the day, as there is nothing else to really do on your breaks and nobody else there to see what or how much you eat. With this comes inevitable weight gain. Working from home is usually quite sedentary work as well, and this overeating and lack of exercise combined can really make you lose your shape very quickly.

 

The best way to fight against this is to introduce a lot more fitness into your life. Making sure that you get moving more often will not only get your blood flowing and your heart pumping, but will make you feel fitter, happier and better all round.

 

Taking exercise breaks is important if you want to incorporate fitness into your daily routine. Every couple of hours at least, you should take a short exercise break. If it’s a nice day, you can take a 15 minute stroll around your neighbourhood every few hours. If you have a dog, they will be only too happy to get a bit of fresh air and sunshine on a regular basis. When the weather isn’t kind to you, do something like sit-ups, push-ups and planks during a little workout break.

 

Another way that you can stay fit is to use a fitness ball as a chair. When you sit on a fitness ball, you are forced to use your core muscles to balance and stabilise yourself. It may seem like an impossible task but over time it will get easier, and you will be toning your muscles all day long without even thinking about it.
